This Earth Day we are proud to share a milestone that represents far more than an operational upgrade. It’s a commitment to a cleaner, smarter and more sustainable future. 

A major solar investment  

We are excited to announce the purchase of 13,000 brand new solar panels for our Parrott Street factory.  Once installed, this will become one of the largest single roof solar installations in the UK, significantly expanding our renewable energy capacity. 

Parrott Street is one of our largest manufacturing sites, based in Hull, spanning over 1.3 million sq ft. With a footprint of this scale, we recognise our responsibility plus the opportunity to reduce our environmental impact in meaningful ways. 

Cutting energy use and carbon emissions 

The new solar installation is projected to reduce the site’s energy usage by 23%, saving 5.8 MWh of energy annually. To put that into perspective, that’s the equivalent of powering 2,089* UK homes every year. 

A step forward 

This investment marks a major step forward in our commitment to environmental responsibility. As we continue to grow and innovate our operations, sustainability remains at the heart of every decision we make. 

Installation of the panels is set to begin very soon and we look forward to sharing updates as the project progresses.
